13 days and counting...

The following blog as nothing to do with italy.

and i would have to say that these are my favourite lyrics
These ones are from 99 red balloons by Nena the opening part makes me ":D"

You and I in a little toy shop
Buy a bag of balloons
With the money we've got
Set them free at the break of dawn
'Til one by one, they were gone
Back at base, bugs in the software
Flash the message
"Something's out there"
Floating in the summer sky
99 red balloons go by

99 red balloons
Floating in the summer sky
Panic bells, it's red alert
There's something here
From somewhere else
The war machine springs to life
Opens up one eager eye
Focusing it on the sky
Where 99 red balloons go by

And these ones from Big Yellow Taxi by Counting Crows Joni Mitchell

Hey farmer farmer
Put away the D.D.T. now
Give me spots on my apples
But leave me the birds and the bees
Please!
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

15days and counting

I often wonder if, anyone ever reads my blog. Sometimes its a little awkward  cos it's like i am writing a public journal and i am the only one who reads it....

But that has changed. My dearest friend Ruby Gloom, has just posted on my facebook wall:

"So here i was just do my usually blah on Facebook until i realized that i hadn't been on your profile for quite a while so i clicked on your name (Shelby) then your page loaded and there i was looking at YOUR page. So i did a little bit of looking and reading but go a little bored of that so i was just about to leave when from the corner of my eye i saw a little blue link. I thought to myself well i haven't seen that before, so most people would do i clicked.... The page loaded and there i was on YOUR italian blog. OH i said to myself Shelby has a blog, i didn't know that! Well then i looked around and read so things and realized wow this Shelby is something very special. So im here right now to tell you that i love you Pina and i love you Barhbarh and i love you Shelby.
From that person you sit next to in your Italian class"

I dedicate this post to her.

It is 16 days or 389 hours or 23394 minutes or  1403655 seconds until November 26th. This date - The day I experience something new. The day I leave everything, including my own language behind (though I must argue that I am MOST DEFINATELY not leaving my suit case, or my passport behind). The day I leave for Italy.

This is the reason for why I created this blog. Okay, so I'll admit, i have neglected to scream my
excited over the world wide web. but I can tell you now that in reality, i have made up for my
lack of excitement here :)

Okay so here is my list of everything I have:
  • Warm clothes & Thermals
  • Passport - includes the worlds most attractive photo
  • Note book with travel information- empty.
  • Enough spending money- plus back up :)
  • A host family- her name is Francesca
  • A dictionary for 'Quick Translations
  • Emergency Numbers

Things I stuff I need to get:
  • A tooth Brush (i have an electric one and I can't take it on the plane)
  • Mini Bottles of Hygiene crap
  • A plane pillow
  • Host Family gifts
And because I like the number 3, I am going to write another list.

My Favourite sayings and words of Italian:
  • La Leccalecca - the lollipop
  • Ho fatto pipi sul vastro cane - I peed on your dog
  • Tu sei una putana - you are a whore
  • l'ananas - The pineapple
Until next time,
Arriverci Putane  - cya whores

The Truth Shall Set You Free

I speak the truth when it is needs to be said. But does this make me a bad person because we all know the truth can hurt. Sometimes people just need to know the truth. But when I say it, it makes me feel bad. I often think: Does this make me inconsiderate to others feelings? Am I being a bitch? Or does this make me a good person? Am I in tuned to what people are needing to hear? Should I have just kept my mouth shut, because really it isn't any of my business? But when you tell me it, you have made it my business. Haven't you?

I suppose, it ain't over until the fat lady sings.

He's kinda....

Amazing
Perfect
Wonderful
Addictive
He makes me smile like an idiot
And he makes want to tell the world because
I know that I will always look beautiful to him
Even if to the world I look like an idiot
I instantly forget everything when I see him
And I never stop thinking about.
but most importantly, I'm madly in love with him

It's all a lie.

I feel really rude for doing this but i have to share this. My poor 11yr old sister is really sick- spewing every 5 minutes- any she comes out with spew down her shirt and says "Do you think i should change my shirt of have a shower?" I say "Have a shower baby it'll make you feel a bit better" she then looks at me like this -___- and says "Dad said that today and i've had like 8 showers and im not feeling better. That's a lie." I looked at her trying to take her seriously. Though i was a good girl and not laughed.

much.

hello maths.

I used to have linoleum floors with sharp nails.
